EITC / OSTC Tax Credit Program

Redirect Your PA Tax Dollars to Fund the Deserving Kohelet Students

Your PA tax dollars can help send a child to Kohelet Yeshiva. The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows you to redirect money you already owe in PA state taxes into critical needs-based scholarships.

This is not a donation—it is money you already owe in taxes. Last year, EITC participants allowed Kohelet to distribute close to $1.5 million in scholarships to over one-quarter of our student body.

How It Works

  • Redirect Your Taxes: Send your PA tax liability directly to Kohelet Yeshiva to fund scholarships.

  • Get 90% Back: Receive a 90% PA state tax credit for your contribution.

  • Deduct the Rest: Claim the remaining 10% as a charitable deduction on your federal return.

  • Eligibility: Individuals or businesses who pay at least $6,200 in Pennsylvania income tax can participate.

Choose Your Path to Participate

  • Individuals and business owners can easily participate by joining a Special Purpose Entity (SPE) managed by our partners at the Pennsylvania Education Partnership LLC.

  • How to get started: To learn more or to get started, please email PEP Executive Director Gwen Horowitz at gwen@paeitc.com.

  • Businesses make their EITC contribution to an approved Scholarship Organization (SO). Kohelet Yeshiva partners with the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools (FJDS). You simply designate Kohelet Yeshiva as the ultimate recipient of your funds.
