Rabbi David Wilensky
As the Associate Principal for Judaic Studies K-8, Rabbi Wilensky focuses on building and implementing our K-8 Limudei Kodesh curriculum, overseeing special Limudei Kodesh programs and events, and ensuring that KYLS and KYMS continue to foster the growth of our children into eager and excited Bnei and Bnot Torah. Before joining Kohelet Yeshiva, Rabbi Wilensky spent nine years as the rabbi of Congregation Sons of Israel in Allentown, PA, where he also taught 7th and 8th grade Limudei Kodesh in the Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley. Before moving to Allentown, Rabbi Wilensky taught Limudei Kodesh at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC), and served as the Associate Rabbi of Congregation Ohab Zedek in Manhattan. Known for his warmth, affability and passion for Torah learning and Torah living, Rabbi Wilensky spent two years studying in Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh before attending Yeshiva University where he received semicha from RIETS and a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education from Azrieli. Most recently, Rabbi Wilensky completed a second master’s degree, this time in Special Education from Lehigh University’s College of Education
