Karyn Spero
Morah Spero received her Bachelor’s Degree from Stern College, where she majored in Psychology, before going on to study Gemara, Halakha and Tanakh at the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education in New York for three years. Following her years of study in New York, Morah Spero moved to Boston where she received a Master’s Degree in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University. She taught Tanakh at Gann Academy in Waltham, MA, and Tanakh, Halakha and Jewish Thought at Maimonides High School in Boston. In addition to teaching Limudei Kodesh at Maimonides, she developed programming as part of the Upper School Student Life Team. While living in Boston, Morah Spero also gave weekly Tanakh classes for adults as part of the Maayan Torah Studies Initiative.
